I cannot impose my will, values, or beliefs on others, even if I believe it would be best for them. I want people to believe what I believe, love what I love, and value what I value. Wouldn’t life be smooth for all of us then? But each individual is a unique creation and personality who has to find their own way. I must allow this process. Imposing my will on others leads to animosity and resentment from them. Nothing truly good will ever come of it. I must learn to share––not force––my opinions, values, and beliefs on others. If any of these are right for others, I can pray that they find them and use them. In the meantime, I will keep my mind open and consider new opinions, values, and beliefs that others have shared with me.
